Apple is rolling out a new Support app that lets users get expert help with devices and software, and schedule repairs at the Apple store. The app also offers a catalog of support articles to help users fix common issues.

Apple previously gave us the option to schedule Genius Bar appointments from within the Apple Store app when we needed repairs and technical support — but now that it is dropping its emphasis on the Genius Bar, that was recently removed.

[contextly_auto_sidebar] There is no mention of the Genius Bar in the description for its new Support app, but Apple is giving us the ability to schedule in-store appointments again — both at Apple stores and Authorized Service Providers — for technical support.

Apple offers support over the phone, by email, and by live chat. You can also use the Support app to schedule a callback at a convenient time, and to browse support articles to fix common problems with macOS, iOS, tvOS and watchOS devices.

Right now, it appears the Apple Support app is only available for download in the Netherlands, but we expect it to reach the App Store in other countries very soon.
