You can find some incredible new gadgets on Kickstarter and Indiegogo that often go unnoticed. We’re rounding up some of the best every week to help them get the funding they need to become a reality.

This week, MagSafe makes a comeback for the new generation of USB-C devices, we have an insanely useful popup display you can take just about anywhere, the “world’s most intuitive smart stylus,” and more.

Snapnator

If you’ve ordered your new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, or you’re already using one of the latest MacBooks, you’ll need to get used to life without the beloved MagSafe connector. Or do you? Snapnator brings it back by making your MacBook charger magnetic.

Snapnator consists of two parts: One plugs into your MacBook’s USB-C port, and the other attaches to a USB-C cable. The two then come together magnetically — just like a MagSafe connector. That means if someone pulls (or trips over) your charger, your notebook is safe.

What’s great about Snapnator is that because it uses USB-C, it’s not just for MacBooks. You can actually use it with almost any USB-C port and cable — including those on smartphones and tablets.

Snapnator still has 48 days to run on Kickstarter, but it has already raised more than four times its funding goal. You can go claim yours now with a pledge of $19 or more.

SPUD

SPUD may sound like a silly name, but it’s an incredibly useful product. It stands for Spontaneous Pop-up Display, and it’s a 24-inch screen that collapses and expands just like an umbrella, making it easy to take just about anywhere.

SPUD has a high-resolution DLP projector in its back, which throws an image onto the 24-inch canvas on its front. Smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other devices can be connected by HDMI, or using the wireless adapter.

You can use SPUD to enjoy movies in your hotel room, to be more productive on the move, or to immerse yourself in your mobile games. The possibilities are endless — and awesome!

SPUD still has 38 days left to run on Kickstarter, but it has already raised more than 10 times its funding goal. You can currently bag yours with a pledge of $384.

Flip

Flip promises to be the “world’s most intuitive smart stylus.” Just like the pencils you’ve been using for years, it has two ends — one of which is a handy eraser. The other is magnetic, allowing you to quickly change tips to suit whatever you’re working on.

Unlike other smart styluses, Flip does not require batteries or charging, and it doesn’t need to be connected to your tablet over Bluetooth. Instead, it just works. It also boasts nifty features like palm rejection, and the ability to hover to magnify things on screen.

Flip has just five days left to run on Kickstarter, but it has already achieved its funding goal. You still have time to claim yours now with a pledge of $40 or more.

SMOVE

Snap sharper selfies with SMOVE, the smartphone stabilizer and power bank in one. SMOVE helps keep your smartphone still while you’re snapping pictures and videos, and it’s portable enough to take anywhere in your bag or pocket. But that’s not all.

SMOVE also has some amazing features, like the ability to shoot automated 360-degree panoramas. Its accompanying app can also recognizes faces and automatically follow them while recording video.

SMOVE is compatible with almost any smartphone, and its built-in battery can top up your device while on the go. It has already raised almost 25 times its funding goal with 18 days left to run on Indiegogo, and you can grab yours now for $119.

UNO

Fed up of carrying different cables for different devices? With UNO, you don’t have to. UNO is compatible with both Lightning and micro-USB connectors — without the need for adapters. It fits both ports and does everything a standard cable does.

UNO can charge your devices and sync data, and it’s made out of metal to be robust. It has only three days left to run on Indiegogo, so you’ll need to act fast to claim yours. You can currently get a 1- and 2-meter cable set for $30 at early bird pricing.

Bonjour

Imagine an alarm clock that wants to help you start every day the right way. That’s Bonjour, an alarm clock with a built-in personal assistant that gives you a kickstart every morning.

Bonjour can tell you what the weather’s going to be like, what’s in your calendar, and what the traffic conditions are on your way to work each day. It can control the smart devices around your home, answer your questions, and update you on your fitness activity.

Bonjour uses artificial intelligence that becomes more powerful the more you use it. It boasts natural language that sounds more conversational that other virtual assistants, and it can play your music, video messages, and more.

With 27 days left to run on Kickstarter, Bonjour has already raised more than 7 times its funding goal. You can reserve yours right now with a pledge of $109 or more.
