Is Apple planning to release a jet white iPhone? Yes, according to a not-so-reliable rumor.

Cupertino plans to launch a jet white version of the newest iPhones, according to a Japanese Apple blog.

Macotakara admits that its source, an unnamed supplier, might not be reliable — but why not let the rumor stir our imagination for a moment?

Macotakara reported Monday about the new white color option for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, and produced the above illustration, which shows what a bright white iPhone might look like.

The website notes twice that it rates the credibility of the information as low, but, as MacRumors points out, Macotakara has been accurate in the past with leaked details about upcoming iPhones.

But “given the lack of confidence in its own source, this rumor may not materialize and should be treated with a proverbial grain of salt,” wrote MacRumors’ Joe Rossignol.

Appleworld.Today’s Dennis Sellers noted how hot the jet black iPhones are selling and gave the jet white rumor an 80 percent chance of coming true.

If you like high-gloss without the fingerprints showing, jet white might be your color. But since most us put some sort of case on our iPhones, why would it matter?
