Looking to get up to speed on the week’s hottest apps? We’ve got your back!

Whether you’re looking for a useful way to sign PDFs from your iPhone, a great beat-em-up, or even the chance to build your own RPG from the ground-up, we’re confident we’ll have something that will tickle your fancy.

Check out our picks below.

Dan the Man

With its pitch-perfect retro charm, Dan the Man is what would happen if you stuck Streets of Rage, Metal Slug, and Super Mario Bros. together in a blender for a couple of minutes.

There are 12 action-packed levels in full, which give you the opportunity to brawl your way through plenty of boss battles, enjoy the game’s great hand-to-hand combat dynamic, upgrade your weaponry as you go, and even create your own fighter.

If an old school beat-’em-up sounds like the perfect way to spend a Sunday, you can’t go wrong with Dan the Man.

Pokémon Go

As this year’s biggest breakout mobile gaming hit, Pokémon Go isn’t some rare gem we’ve unearthed. However, this week it did receive an update adding some neat additional playability.

Alongside some bug fixes, the two main updates include a new Catch Bonus, in which trainers are able to pick up a bonus for catching more of one particular Pokémon type, and an improved Gym Training mode, that lets you now bring up to six Pokémon when you do battle at friendly Gyms.

The devs have also tweaked the game’s Egg and Incubator screens so you no longer have to close and reopen the screen to see how far you have walked, as well as allowing you to temporarily downgrade the CP of the Pokémon you are fighting against during training sessions.

Dropbox’s iOS app got a big update this week, letting users now easily add signatures to PDF documents. Simply tap the area where you want your signature to appear and a window will pop up letting you scribble in it. You can also add a text field if you want to print your name alongside it.

The updates also adds other improvements, such as a Today screen widget, improved document sharing, and more.

RPG Creator

Can’t find the game you’re looking for? Why not build you own!

There are some amazing games available on iOS, but if you can’t find one that quite ticks all the boxes, why not build your own? That’s the pitch behind RPG Creator, a title which allows role-playing game fans the ability to build their own maps, create NPCs and monster, develop their own stories — and then share it with the world.

It’s not exactly “pick up and play” stuff (there are plenty of games that let you do that), but if you’ve ever dreamed of being an RPG creator during the 16-bit heyday of the genre, RPG Creator is well worth checking out!
