From a neat Facebook Messenger update to a tremendous new puzzle game, this is the perfect way to spend the remainder of your weekend.

Facebook Messenger

You can’t ever accuse Facebook of resting on its laurels as king of the social networks. This week, the company introduced a nifty new feature for its Facebook Messenger app, allowing users to drop live video into a regular chat window.

It may not be a total game changer, but it nonetheless demonstrates how Facebook is continuing to explore the messaging tech space in unique ways as Mark Zuckerberg’s social network tries to stay relevant in the eyes of younger users.

Street Fighter Puzzle Spirits

Sadly it’s not Puzzle Fighter. But it’s still fun.

Let’s get this out of the way up front: sadly, this isn’t one of the excellent Puzzle Fighter games Capcom released back in the 1990s. On the plus side, it is an entertaining puzzle game which takes some of what made Puzzle Fighter great — but replaces the kind of falling block games of Puzzle Fighter with match-three games similar to Candy Crush Saga.

As you might expect from a Street Fighter game, Capcom has added various fighting game-based gameplay mechanics, like meter building and combos. It won’t appeal to everyone, but if you’re a die-hard fan of the franchise it’s worth checking out.

Pastebot

A new Mac utility from the makers of the Tweetbot Twitter client, Pastebot is a versatile clipboard manager for macOS that stores your recently copied items for easy retrieval.

In addition to simply building up a clipboard as you work, Pastebot also lets you create custom pasteboards for frequently-used clippings, as well adding special filters that you can apply as you paste.

Right now it’s still in public beta, but you can download a copy for yourself at the below link.

BLUK

Boasting controls reminiscent of Angry Birds and the minimalist visuals of Monument Valley, Deepak Madathil’s new iOS game BLUK is an hypnotic physics-based platformer which asks you to bounce a block from tower to tower.

It sounds (and is) a straightforward idea, but it’s incredibly well executed, with a surprising amount of replayability. Recommended!
