In terms of in-app purchases, Trulia might be the priciest app we’ve ever covered — since it could land you a new house. It’s a popular online real estate app which has just launched for Apple TV, as well as receiving an update for iOS, designed to make buying your new home “easy and enjoyable.”

You can do all the normal things for a real estate app like searching by area or street name, as well as viewing photos, video and walk-throughs of property — but the big selling point is the wider search criteria like “Safe Neighborhoods,” “Great Walk Score,” or local school ratings or crime rate.

If you’re tempted by a propety, Trulia even gives you easy-to-access “Mortgage Calculators” so that you can figure out exactly how far your budget will stretch. Happy hunting!

Scrivener

Popular writing tool Scrivener has been a Mac staple for years, but it’s just landed on iOS for the first time: providing iPad and iPhone users with the means to turn their book or screenplay ideas into final drafts. (Note: some of the best features are iPad only.)

The best way to think of Scrivener is as a word processing tool especially designed for creative writing — offering the ability to easily shuffle around ideas, chapters or character notes as you work, before exporting your final product as a Word, RTF, Final Draft, PDF or plain text file.

If you’re interested in finally getting around to writing the Great American Novel (or, really, anything more creative than emails) Srivener for iOS is most definitely worth a look.

KLOCKI

I’m a big fan of iOS puzzle games, and KLOCKI has a lot of the ingredients I look for: easy to pick up game mechanics, a relaxingly attractive interface, and enough of a learning curve to keep your little gray cells suitably taxed.

There’s no tutorial on display, but the broad goal is to connect lines together by rearranging tiles. Of course, things get more complex than that in a hurry — but it’s an addictive and enjoyable experience that will have you tapping away for at least the next week, if not a whole lot longer.

Politaire

A mashup of poker and solitaire, Politaire is a whole lot of fun in terms of offering card game nuts an iOS game that’s both strikingly familiar and also original.

Your aim is to make winning hands with 5 active cards in your hand, and there’s variation in the form of both single deck and double deck play modes, plus endless challenges (and detailed game stats) if you’re so inclined. It’s a great single player experience, and attractively executed with a design that makes it easy to pinpoint individual, cards even on one of the smaller-size iPhones.

As you’d expect, there’s a bit of a learning curve and lots of strategy, but I can definitely see this becoming a “must have” on the iPhones or iPads of certain gamers out there. Recommended!
