Pokémon Go has finally arrived in the U.K. just a day after starting its European invasion in Germany. The game has been a huge success so far despite its limited reach, and now holds the record for most popular mobile game in U.S. history.

Not even Nintendo could have imagined how successful Pokémon Go, which sends players out into the real world to capture virtual critters, would be on mobile. Pokémon Go: Big and getting bigger

It took just a week for the breakout augmented reality game to add billions of dollars to the company’s market value, and to overtake Tinder in daily active users. Now it’s even bigger.

According to data from research firm SurveyMonkey, Pokémon Go is currently seeing 21 million active users every day. That makes it the most popular mobile game in U.S. history, beating the previous record of 20 million users set by Candy Crush Saga in 2013.

It won’t stop there, either. In the first week after its launch, Pokémon Go was only available in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. Now it’s also available in Germany and the U.K., and will continue to expand its reach throughout Europe and Asia in the coming days.

It shouldn’t take too long for Pokémon Go to become the most popular mobile game worldwide, then — but developer Niantic will be delighted with its success already. The game is making “millions of dollars” every day, and that will rise when sponsored locations are added.

If you live in the U.K., you can use the links below to bag Pokémon Go on Android and iOS. And if the game still isn’t available where you live, you can follow our handy tutorial to creating a U.S. iTunes account, which will let you get your hands on it today!
