Backpacks aimed at tech heads are seemingly everywhere these days. But even with such a crowded marketplace, a couple of bags really leap out.
Two such backpacks are the Lowepro’s Fastback BP 250 AW II and Streetline BP 250, both of which are my go-to carriers when I need to haul my camera equipment, laptop, tablet — and maybe even an odd change of clothes — around with me.
Why do these two bags stand out from the pack? Check out the video below for my full reviews:

Lights, camera, backpack
The Fastback 250 is the perfect travel-ready backpack aimed at photographers and filmmakers. It can comfortably fit a DSLR camera, two or three extra lenses, a 15″ laptop and tablet — and still have extra space left over for microphones, hard drives, headphones and more. There’s even an extra strap on the side for a tripod!
What I particularly like about this big is how fast and easy it makes accessing your camera. Even when you’ve got the bag on your shoulder, it’s no problem to unzip and grab your DSLR or video gear when you see the perfect snapping opportunity in the field.
It’s also durable nicely padded, which means that you don’t have to worry about your precious gear getting damaged when you’re out and about.
With so many features and storage, this is virtually an office-in-a-bag. As such, it’s my go-to carrier whenever I’m out and about.

A tech bag with style
My other pick for top tech bag is the StreetLine BP 250. At first glance, the StreetLine looks a lot slimmer than the Fastpack, although it can still carry a laptop, tablet, camera, and even extra kit or spare clothes without a problem.
What makes the Streetline really notable is its design. Unlike most of Lowepro’s bags, this is a bag you could comfortably take into the office — thanks to its perfect balance of style and functionality.
A big plus is the fact that it’s water-repellent, while it offers an additional level of protection with a so-called “FlexPocket” system inside that can store your more vulnerable gadgets, such as cameras and lenses. If you don’t need them, they fold away like they were never there!
Both bags are great in their own way. Pick one if you have to, but both together will offer all the flexibility you could ever need.
