New drone footage of Apple Campus 2 reveals the impressive progress that has been made in recent months. The research and development center and many of the other buildings around the campus are now starting to take shape — and they look glorious in 4K!

We got our last update on Campus 2 back in May, at which point the “Spaceship” itself was already in place and starting to look like an actual building, and work had begun on many of the structures around it — including the parking garage and auditorium.

A month on, those things are starting to look even better. The research and development facility is nearing completion, as is the fitness center for employees. Around 95 percent of the solar panels on the parking garage are also in place now.

Some of the other buildings on Tantau Avenue are also “growing rapidly” now, as you’ll see in the video below from Matthew Roberts. If you have a compatible monitor, be sure to watch the video in 4K — it looks spectacular!

When it opens next year, Campus 2 will accommodate 13,000 Apple employees and 11,000 vehicles. Its auditorium will sit 1,000 people for Apple media events, and its solar panels will generate 16 megawatts of power to keep it all running.
