Yet another sketchy leak suggests Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7 Plus will feature its first dual-lens camera system. The alleged chassis has surfaced just days after one tipster claimed that “technical difficulties” had scuppered Apple’s upgrade plans.

A dual-lens camera has been by far the most exciting rumor surrounding the iPhone 7 Plus. The additional lens is supposed to provide the device with optical zoom, and deliver greater photos and videos overall.

A recent report, based on claims from a tipster in China, claimed that Apple had put its dual-lens camera plans on hold because the technology just wasn’t ready for primetime yet. However, the latest chassis leak suggests those claims may be false.

According to the website Showbox App Downloadthe chassis seen on the right in the image above is for the upcoming iPhone 7 Plus. It is said to be “covered by a protective film or something,” which explains its shiny look.

The chassis is identical to that on the left, which leaked out earlier this year, and it is said to be “the final production model.” If that’s true, it means the dual-lens camera is indeed making its way into this year’s iPhone 7 Plus upgrade.

Unfortunately, we won’t know whether these claims really are true until Apple makes the iPhone 7 series official in September.
