Windows 10 hasn’t been the hit on mobile that Microsoft hoped it would be, but the company has a new plan to get iOS developers to bring their apps to Windows: poach them at WWDC.
Microsoft is hosting a special after party for iOS and OS X developers after Apple’s opening keynote on June 13th. The event is co-hosted by the software company Xamarin that is owned by Microsoft but makes tools for developers to make apps on iOS, Android and Windows.
The Microsoft after party will be located at Twitter HQ which is conviently located behind the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium where Apple’s keynote will be held.
While wining and dining developers with free drinks, food, robots and drones, Microsoft may also guage developers interest in using Azure cloud for backend of iOS apps. During the event the company says it will give away an Apple Watch Sport every hour as well as an Xbox One.
