In a week where Cult of Mac brought you exclusive next-gen MacBook pics and controversial ex-iPad creator Tony Fadell parted ways with Nest, we got some great new apps arriving in the App Store.

Which apps were dominating our iOS devices over the past seven days? Check out our picks below. Trust us, it’s the perfect way to spend your Sunday!

WWDC is just days away, so Apple’s chosen the perfect time to update its annual WWDC app to help you keep track of all the new software and announcements, even if you’re not attending the conference.

Not only does the app allow you to watch live-streamed and past WWDC sessions on iOS and tvOS; check times, locations and descriptions for labs and special events, and get important notifications, but it also adds a new darker theme, similar to the WWDC Apple Watch app. There’s additionally a new tvOS app for WWDC, while the iPad app gets a multitasking picture-in-picture option.

StephMoji

Okay, so an emoji app may not be one of the most world-changing apps of the week, but it was certainly one of the biggest: shooting to the top of the paid apps list within days of launching.

Arriving on Wednesday by NBA star Steph Curry, StephMoji offers users “access [to] hundreds of brand-new emoji personally curated by Steph himself.” These include iconic images such as him chewing on his mouthguard, to images of him laughing and sleeping, plus emojis of daughter Riley and wife Ayesha.

If you want to support starving indie devs, who better than an NBA star who earns around $12 million per year?

Frame.io

HEADING
Finally an end to the madness that is collaborative video sharing!

For anyone who collaborates with others on video projects, Frame.io is a cloud-based collaborative tool which lets users privately upload, review, and share media with their entire team, anywhere in the world.

If you work remotely with others, and therefore rely frequently on a combination of tools like Dropbox and Vimeo, Frame.io is a great alternative with a shedload of useful, easy-to-use features — such as time-based comments and video annotations which allow you to draw directly on video frames, and video transcoding in the cloud so you can upload any video format and not have to worry about playback compatibility.

Sky Force Reloaded

An entertaining shoot ’em up with a few unique quirks, Sky Force Reloaded puts you in charge of a spaceship charged with blasting away at a variety of enemies, while dodging obstacles and collecting bonuses. Okay, so it’s pretty much Space Invaders with a modern twist, but it’s a lot of fun and just the right level of challenging.

It doesn’t hurt that the graphics are superb, either!
