We can customize our iMac desktops with a favorite photo. Why not the desk itself?

Evodesk, in addition to getting us to stand up for our work, now offers graphic inspiration with a durable second skin that envelops the desk with a wide selection of photos and patterns to keep creatives happy and productive.

The standing desk is changing office design thanks to worrisome studies showing what too much sitting does to our backs, not to mention giving us varicose veins. To improve our postures, get our heart rates up and boost our metabolisms, doctors over the last few years have been recommending more standing – and desk manufacturers, like Evodesk, have delivered with rising workstations that range from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars.

The Evodesk debuted its programmable sit-to-stand desk made from recycled or reclaimed wood in 2014 for $599. On Wednesday, the company introduced dozens of visual options for adhesive vinyl desk covers it called Deskshields. Choose from the company’s gallery of artistic prints, rare wood images, and photographs or upload your own family photo for a new desktop.

From sunflowers to football players, the Deskshield can be printed for three sizes of Evodesk desktops, 48, 60 and 72 inches.

A top shield runs $139, $159 and $179, while the full shield, which covers the desk edges, costs $179, $199 and $299.

Desk shields are made from a thick, durable automative-grade cast vinyl with an adhesive that makes them easy to line up and affix without creases or bubbles. Evodesk claims if you can put a bumper sticker on your car, you can apply your own Deskshield.
