Best List: MacBook Pro Skin by dbrand

The time I spend hacking away on my laptop at coffee shops, hotel lobbies and conference room floors I inevitably spot another MacBook user with a cooler-looking laptop than mine, filling me with envy.

Well, dbrand has the goods to make the other coffee shop patrons jealous.

I opted for the black carbon fiber skin, but could have easily gone with dbrand’s leather, metal or wood skin options. There are 16 textured skins on offer including blues and reds and yellows and blacks and whites in the carbons and leathers and metals.

Considering the only two tools my dad taught me to use where twine and duct tape I am usually terrified of these types of applications. Luckily, for me the dbrand people have done a wonderful job with their how-to videos. I even used their suggestion of using a hair dryer to fit the corners on my MacBook Pro.

The skin has held up really well, but I have put a big gouge on the bottom pushing it in and out of my overpacked backpack. I am assured by dbrand there will be no leftover residue when I remove the skin.

The team at dbrand also makes skins for all sorts of phones, gaming platforms, headphones and even Pebble watches.
