Boxing Day. What the heck is it? Traditionally, it’s the day that British servants and tradesmen, busy servicing the upper class on Christmas Day, got to take the day off and open their gifts. But in the context of modern society, it’s mostly notable for being the week when Apple launches its annual Boxing Week sale for customers in Canada and the UK. Which is now live!

If you live in Canada , you can find the sale in the special ‘Boxing Week’ sale section on the iTunes Store, on both PC/Mac and iOS. For the next week, Apple will be offering many popular albums, usually on sale for around $9.99, for just $6.99, including LPs by The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Fall-Out Boy, and more.

The same’s true in the UK, although Apple, for some reason, isn’t using the ‘Boxing Week’ branding there. Still, the prices are good: albums which are usually £6.99 are just £3.99 or £4.99, and include albums from Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, and more.

Of course, if you’re an American, you won’t get any such deals: we don’t recognize Boxing Day, and neither does Apple. But if you’re in Canada or the UK, check it out: it’s the perfect opportunity to use some of those iTunes Gift Cards you got in your stocking!
