A shadow is a form of great substance that keeps its details hidden. Such was the inspiration for the designers at booq with a new messenger bag aptly named for what it does not reveal – your expensive tech gear.

The Shadow, available in gray and black, is elegantly spare in its look, which is part of its m.o. to discreetly carry your computer and other valuables.

The Shadow will hold a 15-inch laptop plus all your everyday carry essentials.

True to the form of the ubiquitous messenger bag, the booq Shadow has a front flap that secures with two buckles. On this bag, there are no poppy colors, dazzling stitches or flashy emblems that announce its arrival.

Behind the flap is an impressive collection of pockets that starts with a well-padded main sleeve for a laptop of up to 15 inches. It also features other spacious pockets and accessories organizers for books, your phone, writing instruments, keys and other everyday carry essentials.

Both bags have a seatbelt shoulder strap. The gray Shadow is constructed with water-resistant jute and is secured in front with aluminum buckles. The black version is made from a rugged ballistic nylon and is secured with plastic buckles.

The black bag retails for $130 while the gray is $30 more. Like all bags from booq, the Shadow has a five-year warranty plus a Terraling serial number you register in case you and your Shadow get separated.
