- a thing you stick your MacBook into
- a thing you watch TV on
- a thing of any sort
- or a manufacturing process
- or a new OS
Something the “brick” absolutely 100 per cent is not:
- a thing that the vast majority of people give a damn about
- worth posting about on Twitter
- going to be dull
(Note: Unless it is, of course)

Oh, why not…
The new brick in the wall is a 6 x 9 (or thereabouts) iPod touch.
It might be called a slate or something, and while not positioned as such
will become the dominant ebook reader within 12 months.
I believe the Brick could be some sort of metaphor… Maybe apple thinks this is so awesome that it’ll make Windows shiver….how do you break a window anyway? Throw a brick through it
What about being a media server. Basically what you would get if you crossed a Drobo and a Time Machine. Massively expandable, networked, internally backed up, easily accessed by iPhone/iPod touch devices and iTunes devices. This is doubtful, but I might buy one if they build it.
At long last, it’s a new consumer-level, tower-form-factor Mac. It has several PCIe slots and room in it for a few 5.25″ devices, making it a decent machine for anyone who wants to own a modestly expandable Mac. Comes with a Combo Drive and 120 or 250GB HDD space. Priced competitively at $899.
It’s a milk carton with an apple logo on it. Leaked onto the web, Samsung will immediately copy it and introduce it in Australia.
