4th Generation iPhones and iPod Touches TBA on June 22 at WWDC 2010

Last week, we got our first sneak peek at iPhone OS 4.0, and if history’s any guide, we shouldn’t expect to see Steve Jobs strut back on stage until WWDC in June to introduce the fourth generation iPhone and iPod Touch models.

What day should you block out? According to ModMYI, June 22nd, on which date Apple has once again booked the Yerba Buena Center for Arts at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. Needless to say, Cult of Mac will be collectively turning our nostril hairs white as we tensely live blog the announcements.

It’s about two weeks later than Apple usually holds its WWDC event, but if you’re waiting to pick up a video-conferencing iPhone HD packing an A4 CPU, history suggests you can expect it within a couple of weeks of June 22nd.

    Ben, Apple already makes one of those (nearly) – it’s called the iPhone. And even if you have no voice from a carrier, you’ll still need to pay them for a data plan to use Skype.

    I thought the Touch was a creature of September. This is either a misprint or a new rumor.

    Keep your fingers crossed people. My list of wants are a 64 gig iphone and 128 gig ipod touch, a better LED screen and of coarse more horsepower from the chip.

    Generally iPod Touches are released along with the iPod range in September, as has been the case for many years.
    WWDC is only for the iPhone.

    Dammit! I was hoping it would be announced in April/May.

    Im due to upgrade my iPhone 3G sometime in May, as my contract is up. Not sure whether to save the money id spend on the 4g, by buying a 3GS instead, and then not have to go on pay as you go for several months!

    If I wait, i have to go on pay as you go for a month and a half, all while I wait to see if its what I want! gawd Dammit

    i think they will anounce an ipod touch with a camera and built in mic. that would be awsome. come on apple!!!
