The iPad, as we all know, does not have a camera. But one developer has come up with an ingenious way of getting round that minor inconvenience, and turning the iPad into a photography device.
All you need to make it work is an iPhone.
The idea is beautifully simple: the iPad has no camera, but the iPhone does. Why not use the iPhone as the iPad’s lens, the two devices using wireless connectivity to share pictures?
The iPhone does the seeing – the iPad does the work.
To take photos with your iPad, start both apps, one on each device. They’ll find one another if they’re both on the same wifi network, or connect directly over Bluetooth. Then you just point the iPhone’s camera lens at the action, and take control of everything (including zoom, and a save-to-iPhone function) from the iPad.
I love this, what a fantastic idea. It almost makes me want to buy an iPad when they finally appear over here in the UK. Almost.
