Apple Stores finally have Apple Watch in stock

Still waiting for your Apple Watch pre-order to arrive? It might be time to just cancel your order and head down to the local Apple Store.

Apple Stores have allegedly started receiving their first initial shipments of Apple Watch units for sale through in-store reservations and personal pickup when purchased online, claims a new report.

BGR’s ‘trusted sources’ say numerous Apple Stores around the country already have the watch in stock, though its still unclear whether you can actually walk into an Apple Store and buy one starting today, or if the stock will only be used to fulfill overnight purchases places with an in store pickup option.

BGR’s track record for breaking Apple news has been pretty spotty, and sometimes down right deplorable lately, so don’t run down to your local store quite yet (at least call first). The online Apple Store doesn’t show that there any Apple Watch’s available for in-store pickup in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and a number of other cities yet, but it’s possible that the option will be available later this week.

Jeff Williams revealed last month that the company has made great progress on the backlog of Apple Watch orders, and that nearly all orders placed through May would ship to customers by mid-June, at which point Apple Stores would start selling limited supplies. A specific date wasn’t given by Williams, but it’s been nearly two weeks since he said all watches expect the 42mm Black Stainless Steel with Space Black Link Bracelet, will ship to customers ‘within two weeks.’
