Beats Pill XL owners should return their speakers for a refund because the batteries could overheat and pose a fire safety risk. Apple recalled the product Wednesday, saying people who return the potentially dangerous Bluetooth speakers will receive a full refund of $325 as an Apple Store gift card or electronic payment.

“Apple has determined that, in rare cases, the battery in the Beats Pill XL may overheat and pose a fire safety risk,” the company said in a press release.

“Customer safety is always a top priority at both Apple and Beats, and we have voluntarily decided to recall this product. If you have a Beats Pill XL Speaker, please stop using it and follow the process below to send it to Apple.”

If you’re unsure which Beats speaker you have, Apple says you can look for the model name on the handle, where is should read “beats pill XL.” The device is sold in black, metallic sky, pink, titanium and white — and it has been available since November 2013.

Rather than offering a replacement Beats Pill XL, Apple will simply give customers who return their speaker a full refund. However, you can still buy the Beats Pill XL — presumably with a better battery — directly from Apple for $299.95.
