If you’re sick of not being able to just swipe your iPhone or Apple Watch in front of a terminal at Target, here’s some welcome news: Target plans on rolling out Apple Pay terminals at the chain of mega stores soon.

Yesterday, Target CEO Brian Cornell predicted that Apple Pay would be hitting Target’s PoS (point of sale) terminals soon, saying during an interview at Recode’s annual Code Conference: “I’d love to have Apple Pay today.”

In late 2013, Target was hit by a massive security breach that leaked the credit card details of tens of millions of customers. Apple Pay would go a long way to making things more secure. But with as many stores as Target has, NFC-based payment solutions like Apple Pay take time to rollout.

In the meantime, Target’s focusing on chip-and-PIN rollout to protect customers. Cornell says it’s coming in time for the holidays. That’s all well and good — chip-and-PIN is the credit card equivalent of two factor authentication — but hey, we want Apple Pay! And so, apparently, does Target.
