Fritz the Golden Retriever may be adorable with his bandanna and soulful doggy eyes, but man he can’t catch a damn thing. Well, except maybe a french fry near the end of this hilarious video that looks like it was shot on an iPhone in slo-mo mode.
Since it’s National Puppy Day, let’s all empathize with this sad canine and wonder — what kind of owner keeps tossing food at its head?
Woof.
So maybe he’s getting a bit better, as you can see near the end of the video, when he manages to get a tooth into the bun of a tossed hot dog, just before he lands a french fry.
Still, the best part is watching this hapless pooch just utterly miss the food softball tossed his way, getting softly slammed in the head with all sorts of weird food, or just missing the delightful treats by a mile (and a half).
We went in skeptical that a video of a dog bad at catching food would keep us interested, but now that we’ve watched the short film a dozen times, we’re believers. Go Fritz!
