Screenshots of what appears to be the spec sheet of a next-generation 13-inch MacBook Air were allegedly posted on the Chinese forum site Feng.com today, claiming to reveal new info about Apple’s new notebook lineup.
The MacBook Air hasn’t received an update since April 2014, but according to the screenshots, a hardware update could be imminent. The pictures suggest that the update won’t include a Retina display, but new processors and upgraded RAM are supposedly on the way.

The poster claims the screenshots are from a 2015 MacBook Air produced by Foxconn that boasts an Intel Core i5-520U 1.6GHz processor and Intel HD Graphics. The processor and video graphics line up with what we’re expecting in the next update, with 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD coming standard.
Battery life looks like it would be about the same, based on the battery listed. A sales chart posted seems to indicate that Apple plans to launch three different models, with the top-of-the-line units packing an Intel i7 2.2 GHz processor, 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. The mid-tier units will come with the same processor and RAM as the low-end units, only Apple will add a 250GB SSD.
While we can’t verify the legitamacy of the screenshots all of the specs lineup with what we expect to see in the next refresh. When the new MacBooks will come out is still anyone’s guess, however, a recent rumor claims Apple might surprise us with them next week.
