Have you been noticing some weird problems with your Instagram feed today, like pictures not showing up? You’re not alone, says Instagram, which notified users this morning that it is experiencing some issues, but a fix is in the works.
Instagram users have reportedly been experiencing issues where their main photo feed isn’t updating with new pictures, even though Instagram users they’re following are still able to upload and share new pictures.
We’re aware of an issue affecting peoples’ photo feeds, and we’re working on a fix. Thank you for your patience.

Here at Cult of Mac HQ we’ve seen all of our Instagram feeds go pretty much go dead, with new pictures taking up to two hours to appear in the main feed. Despite the current outage, users can still visit individual profile pages to see newest pictures, but it’s certainly not as convenient a way to get your picture fix as scrolling through your feed.
You can still do everything you’d want to in the Instagram app, but updates are coming in super slow. Instagram’s spokeswoman told Cult of Mac that the company is investigating the current issue, but an ETA on a fix is still unknown.
Update: After a few hours a problems, it looks like everything is running smooth again.
