Apple’s iPhone 5s screen repair service is now available at Genius Bars in the U.K. and throughout Europe, just one week after it kicked off in the U.S. The process costs £119/€150, and it is carried out within one hour.

Apple began offering iPhone 5c screen replacements in retail stores earlier this year, but until now, iPhone 5s users have had to pay around €249 to have their handset shipped away for repair, leaving them without a handset for several days. That’s despite the repair process being almost identical for both devices.

But now it’s quicker and easier than ever to get a smashed iPhone 5s fixed by Apple. It’s also cheaper if you can trust a third-party repair company to do it, but by taking it to Apple, you can be sure you’re getting genuine parts that are covered by warranty, and you shouldn’t have any trouble getting support from the Genius Bar later on.

iPhone users are hoping cracked screens will be less of a problem with the upcoming iPhone 6, which is expected to get a sapphire display that’s near impossible to break and even more difficult to scratch. It’s also likely to be bigger than current iPhone screens, with reports claiming there will be 4.7- and 5.5-inch versions.
