Beats Music 2.2 adds taste tuner, badges and playback improvements

Apple’s recently acquired music streaming service, Beats Music, just received its biggest update since getting scooped up by Apple at the end of May, adding new features that let you fine tune your musical tastes on the service and view songs that were just served up in The Sentence.

Beats Music 2.2 comes with a new Tune Your Tastes feature in the Settings section that allows you to switch up the recommendations served in the Just For You section. The feature is similar to the tastes feature that runs when you create an account, allowing you to select your favorite genres and artists, along with removing the music you hate the most.

Users can now view the most recently played songs from The Sentence, allowing you go back and like songs, add to playlists or share with friends on Facebook and Twitter. Taste makers also receive more visibility on the service with the addiction of Verified Badges that add a red check mark to profiles Beats has verified as legit.

The update is available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch on iTunes for free.

Here are the full release notes:

You asked for it, and we listened! In this latest release we’ve added:

● Tune Your Taste — Want to switch up your Just For You recommendations? Change your favorite genres and artists with the Tune Your Taste feature in Settings
● Sentence History — View your most recently played songs from The Sentence
● Verified Badges — That red check mark means the profile is certified as legit by Beats
● Player Improvements — We fixed a ton of bugs to make playback more smooth and reliable

…and much, much more!
