How to jailbreak iOS 7.1

Jailbreaking has been around almost as long as iOS itself, giving users more control over their iPhones and letting them customize almost everything.

In today’s video, we take a look at how to jailbreak iOS 7.1 using the Pangu jailbreaking tool. If you’re not running that particular version of Apple’s mobile operating system, don’t worry: The process is very similar for every release. Take a look at the video to learn how to do it for yourself – it only takes a few minutes!

After having to get a new iPad on warranty when the lightning port inexplicably failed (both charging and syncing), I just went through this process with the Pangu jailbreak. While I did eventually get it to work, it took half a dozen tries before it finally took. I’ve jailbroken every iPhone since my 3GS and never experienced jailbreak bugs during the actual process like this before. So while I can confirm it does work, don’t be discouraged if you need to follow the whole process a few times. My iPad kept getting stuck when it was supposed to reboot on its own.
