Apple acknowledges App Store and iTunes Store outage, says things are back to normal

Cloudy-Day

We’ve been seeing reports on Twitter of the iTunes Store not working, and it does indeed seem that Apple’s cloud servers are acting up. Both the App Store and iTunes Store are having trouble loading for a lot of people.

Error messages saying stuff like “the item you’ve request is not currently available” have been plaguing users for at least the past hour. Slow load times also seem to be affecting many.

Icons for TV and Movies are also missing from the Apple TV:

Oddly enough, Apple’s system status page is not currently reflecting any kind of outage.

We’ve contacted Apple, and we’ll keep you updated on when things are back to normal.

Update: An Apple spokesperson tells Cult of Mac that the company is aware of the problems, and everything “should be back up and running now.”
