Angry Birds Epic RPG flies into the App Store

Rovio has officially launched its latest Angry Birds game, Angry Birds Epic, for iOS devices worldwide.

Unlike previous Angry Birds sequels which have flapped their wings since the original game flew into the App Store back in 2009, Angry Birds Epic takes the form of a fantasy RPG starring both the Angry Birds and the Bad Piggies. The game soft-launched in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand back in March, but today marks the first time gamers from across the globe can get their hands on it, too.

It promises an epic turn-based combat system with plenty of opportunities to upgrade to better weapons and armor. There’s also the chance to explore Piggy Island, which features everything from tribal villages and frosty mountains, to tropical beaches and mysterious caves. Finally, Angry Birds Epic includes the trademark quirky characters and offbeat humor you’d expect from a game in the series.

Angry Birds Epic is available to download for free from the App Store, available for all iOS devices running iOS 6.0 and above.

I am soooooo over the angry birds thing…. (runs off to dl it anyway) I am a little miffed about the whole inserting of advertisements in the middle of their games though.
