“The best backpack we’ve ever made” — a heady statement from an outfit with a focus on making packs and cases to keep traveling Apple stuff safe. The Icon certainly looks impressive, with its Airflow channels and more specialized pockets than a troop of kangaroos. And at $200, it also might be the most expensive backpack the Southern California-based company has ever made.

The allure of the Icon is in all those pockets. Of course, there’s a dedicated laptop compartment for 15-inch MBPs; but there’s also an easy-access, side-loading iPad pocket, a top pocket for an iPhone, small wing pockets for extra batteries snacks or weed that are accessible with the pack on (one of which has a cable port), a slim organizer compartment and a large main compartment. All-in-all, the Icon will hold 20 liters of your junk, easily pushing it into the large-haul daypack category.

Topping off the highlights is a tough 840D nylon construction and air channels in the molded backpanel that theoretically allow air to flow between you and the pack.

If that’s too much bag, it has a slimmer, $150, 16.5-liter little brother with many of the same features.
