They say that Macworld doesn’t break news as much as soft launch it: Cult of Mac Magazine
begs to differ. This week, we bring you news you won’t find elsewhere from the Moscone floor.

For starters, we preview an forthcoming app from Pixite Apps that had the iPhoneographers gasping with delight plus creative director Ben Guerrette also showed us an as-yet-unnamed photo app from the San Diego company that had shutterbugs wowing. We also got the skinny from experts including Lucas Buick Allen of Hipstamatic and Caroline Tien-Spalding of Arcsoft on on how your iPhone could make photoshop a thing of the past and new ways to make some spare change with your pics.

If you’re into a different kind of tinkering, we also got an eyeful of iFixit’s forthcoming iRepair business platform as well as key tips from iFixit’s Kyle Wiens and Luke Soules for starting out on your own repairing those cracked iPhone screens, waterlogged iPads and battery-dead iPods that your family and friends already beg you to fix for them.

In other CoM Magazine goodness, our own Buster Heine brings you his top choices for what music, movies and books to keep you going all week long and our tireless reviews editor Charlie Sorrel takes a look at the best in luxury iPhone cases and the top Apple-related gadgets to cross his path in the last seven days.

As always, hit me up directly by email or use the “send tip” button top right if you have questions, comments or experience any glitches with the app.

We are listening! In next week’s issue, we’re celebrating the birthday of the iPad with power tips —  including a story suggested to us by a faithful reader.
