Facebook Messenger iOS App Brings Essential Features To New Update

By

FB Messenger
Almost like a real Messages app.

Facebook Messenger, the iOS messaging app for the ubiquitous social network, has just updated with a couple of new cool features that will help cement the app’s place on your iPhone home screen.

While it already updated just a little while ago, there are some new additions that will make you sit up and take notice.

Ever want to chat with more than one person at a time? Now you can with Facebook Messenger, provided all the folks in your intended group are using the service. You can even name the group chats, set a photo for the group, and keep them all in one messaging chat.

But what about those folks who aren’t in the group? Or that photo you really, really want your best buddy to see? Facebook Messenger has also added message forwarding. Simply tap on the desired message, and hit the Forward button. No fuss, no muss.

Sure, you can already do these things with Messages on your iPhone, but this will get all those folks you chat with on FB chatting with you even more, right?

Oh, and there’s also a bunch of under-the-hood reliability and speed fixes, as well, which is good.
