Ultra-addictive iOS game Dots has just received a major update, adding a significant new feature.
Called “Challenge Mode,” the addition circumvents the hassle of taking screenshots of individual dots counts — or else comparing scores via social media — by letting players face off in real-time, head-to-head competition.
The 60-second contest is won by whoever can rack up the highest score.
Matches are made through Facebook, email or an auto-matching feature, but players have the option of cheating by using an IAP to add an extra 10 seconds of game play.
Dots: A Game About Connecting is available for free download from the App Store. It is playable on all iOS devices, running iOS 5.0 or later.
