Rappo’s Slimline Keyboard Looks Like Sci-Fi Movie Prop

By

Just his week I took delivery of the amazing Filco Majestouch Tenkeyless keyboard, a clickety-clackety racket-maker which lets people know that I’m WORKING dammit. So I’m happy right now, keyboard-wise, but that doesn’t stop me appreciating the looks of skinny Rapoo’s E9070 Bluetooth number.

Last time I wrote about a Rapoo keyboard, a reader wrote to tell me that it was of poor quality. Not having tested one, I can’t comment on that, but I thought it’d be worth mentioning, mostly becasue this keyboard here is very cheap, just $40.

So what do I like? The small, bezel-less form factor, the fact that it manages to cram a number pad in there. The media keys (combined with the function keys in a slim, half-height top row), and the fact that the color scheme makes it look like something out of a 1970s sci-fi movie.

What I don’t like is the price, which seems too low, and the wireless connection, which uses a 2.4GHz USB dongle and means you can’t use the keyboard with an iPad, which seems pretty dumb.

Available now.
