Earlier this week Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Tim Cook for a lunch as part of his tour of the United States.
In the aftermath of the Wednesday meeting, the Prime Minister uploaded a short video clip to his YouTube channel, offering a brief inside glimpse of the Apple headquarters in Cupertino.
The two men are photographed standing next to a large sign, featuring a quote from Steve Jobs that reads:
“If you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do something else wonderful, not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what’s next.”
The quote was originally said by Jobs in an interview for the NBC Nightly News, in May 2006.
“You can’t ask that of [the] government,” Netanyahu says after reading the sign. Cook laughs and responds, “No, I wish we could.”
One of Apple’s large conference rooms is also shown in the video.
While it is not known what Cook and Netanyahu met to discuss, the lunch with Cook was one leg of a Silicon Valley tour that saw the Israeli Prime Minister meet with a number of key figures.
Israel has become an increasing hotspot for high tech startups in recent years.
In December 2011, Apple bought the Israeli flash memory developer Anobit for a reported $500 million to help optimize the reliability and performance of flash storage utilized by Mac and iOS-based products.
In July 2012, Apple acquired the Israeli smart sensor company AuthenTec for $356 million, whose team helped to develop the Touch ID fingerprint reader that showed up on the iPhone 5s.
In Novemeber 2013, Apple then purchased the Israeli 3-D sensor technology company PrimeSense for a reported $345 million.
