Although Google bought social mapping service Waze in June of last year, the iOS app is still getting impressive new updates.

The latest? Waze for iOS has just gained Calendar integration. It might not seem useful at first glance, but it’s actually a great addition.

For example, let’s say you’re going to a meeting. Using Waze, you can now navigate to your next event with just a simple tap, with any event with location information in your calendar now automatically appearing in Waze’s navigation list.

Hate the feature? No problem: it can easily be disabled in the app’s advanced settings menu.

You can download the new version of Waze featuring calendar integration from the App Store for free.

Pretty cool. Works similar to Apple maps where you can send the mapped location from your Mac to one’s iPad or iPhone. With Waze the location field in the Calendar App must be completed the rest is as you explained. Waze is a cool app. It is visually pleasing and provides a lot of information that is easily understood.
