The Togo Dock is a new pocket-sized iPhone dock from the makers of the Une Bobine, the super-successful “handy bendy iPhone-holding snake.” The new gadget is as simple as can be: it’s a little plastic reel with a magnet on the back, which turns a lightning cable into an iPhone dock that can be stuck to anything – as long as it’s made of ferrous metal.
The $30 Togo comes with its own built-in cable, which can be unwrapped to reach the charger of your choice. You can then plug it in, prop your iPhone up on top (where it is supported by a little backstop bracket) and stick it to the door of your fridge. Or the metal interior panels of your old, old car. Or, or… That’s about it, I guess.
Still, even when there isn’t a vertical, magnet-friendly surface available you still have a Lightning cable neatly wrapped up around its own bobbin, and it’s only $10 more than a vanilla cable from Apple.
The Togo dock is currently looking for funding on Indiegogo.
