Mynd Smart Calendar Adds Weather Forecasts And iOS 7 Overhaul

If you’re a person who needs to balance lots of appointments on a daily basis, but hasn’t come across Mynd Smart Calendar yet, it’s something that’s well worth looking into.

The free app — which describes itself as an “intelligent mobile calendar” — accurately identifies the places you’re going on any given day and then predicts how much buffer time you’re going to need to schedule between meetings given the typical traffic levels at that time of day. As you get closer to appointments, the app reminds you when it is that you need to leave and even launches your preferred navigation app.

Now Mynd has received a major upgrade for iOS 7 — just ahead of the February 1 developer deadline — given it the cleaner, flatter look you’d expect. There are other improvements too, alongside the usual unspecified bug fixes:

– 10 day and 12 hour weather forecasts are now available for your locations. Tap on the Home screen’s weather panel or on the weather forecast on the event details screen to see them.
– You can now turn off “Mynd Information” (Home Screen alerts and travel notifications) for any event or an entire calendar. This is useful if you do not want to be reminded of events for a shared calendar. Simply open an event and tap on the Mynd Information panel to change this setting.
– View, create, and mark complete iOS Reminders for a day by tapping the Home Screen’s reminders panel.

In other words, your day just go that bit more efficient.
