The Elder Scrolls Online, from Bethesda Software, is coming April 4, 2014, and not to the hot new consoles, oh no. The hotly-anticipated online sequel to one of the hottest role-playing games of the past few years is coming to Mac and PC before releasing to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 the following June.

Imagine that–a huge gaming title coming to your Mac before your console-loving friends can get their hands on it.

There’s a new trailer–War In Cyrodiil–that highlights The Elder Scroll Online’s huge player vs player system that lets hundreds of players fight together and against each other to claim the Ruby Throne.

The video highlights The Elder Scrolls Online’s massive PvP system, allowing hundreds of players to fight together, and against one another, in a quest to claim the Ruby Throne.

The game itself has been in beta testing for around a year, with a recent test involving 300,000 beta testers over a two-day period. Game director Matt Firor notes that over 4 million people have signed up for the beta, and counting.

“We hope that just about every one of you who have signed up for beta will get an invitation to play sometime between now and the weeks before launch,” he said in a blog post. “These tests are very important, not only for gameplay feedback, but also to test our infrastructure. Beta tests can sometimes be a little rough when we are testing some systems for the first time with large numbers of players. So thank you to all who have participated for your understanding and support. It is very much appreciated.”

So, lucky Mac players, get ready to rock some fantasy RPG action soon, either in the beta or on the final release date, April 14, 2014.
