I love Cyber Monday, but not for the reasons you think: I don’t give gifts, not do I buy yet more crap to fill my apartment. I love it because it’s the only place that the word “cyber” can still be used without people ridiculing you. Hell, I even cringe when I read Neuromancer these days.
By way of celebration, we bring news of the Apps for Snaps Cyber Monday deal, a collection of iOS photo apps which can be bought today for just a buck apiece.
The promos comes from Pixite, the folks behind some of my favorite iPhoneography apps, but there are also apps form other developers, too. You should head to the site to get the lowdown on each, but you might pay special attention to Unbound HD, which looks like the built-in iOS Photos app, only it uses Dropbox as the photo source, and Lori Stripes, which adds go-faster stripes to your pictures.
I also dig on Percolator, which pixelates your pictures, only it does it with cool, circular, cartoony-colored pixels instead of those tiny old-fashioned square pixels.
Anyhow, check it out. You won’t see many bundles or round-ups from me, because I don’t like them and I’ve usually never even tried the apps. I’ve bought a few of Pixite’s apps, though, and another one from this bundle – Mextures – so I know it’s good. Plus it’s only like $8 for the lot.
