Booq’s Hardcases Protect iPads And MacBooks Air

Booq’s new Viper hardcases are tough, zip-up versions of the regular Viper sleeve, an already very protective case to carry your MacBook or iPad. The hardcase is sized to fit an iPad, an 11-inch MacBook Air or a 13-inch MacBook Air. MacBook Pro users can suck it – it’s not like you ever leave the house with your giant computers anyway.

I’ll tell you about the 13 incher as that’s the one I would probably use. The ballistic nylon exterior is water resistant, and the ribbed and padded construction offers protection without bulk. Inside the nylon twill lining coddles your computer, and a YKK zipper keeps it closed.

The weight for this model is 300 grams (0.7 pounds). The 11-inch MBA case is also 300 grams, and the iPad version weighs in at 400 grams (0.8 pounds). No, that doesn’t make any sense to me either.

All three are available today for $40, $50 and $50.
