Slat-Tastic: The New Miniot Wooden iPad Mini Cover

As long as Miniot keeps making its lovely wooden iPad cases, we’ll keep writing about them. The latest is this rather fetching little number for the iPad, arriving just in time to cover the front of your hot new Retina model with slivers of dead trees.

The mini cover follows the usual Miniot MO: it’s a slatted wooden Smart Cover, attached to the iPad’s spine magnets and resting gently on the screen atop a soft fabric lining. Thanks to the clever construction you can roll the slats up into a stand which will stay furled and let you use it to prop up the iPad for movies or typing.

The new cover comes in any of six woods, including cherry, walnut, wenge and mahogany. You then add a lining in the color of your choice, and pay the good folks at Miniot €59 or $79, whereupon they’ll make your cover and ship it to your home.

There’s also a new version coming for the iPad Air.
