Badland Halloween Update Creeps Us Out Even More At 99 Cents

Badland

Innovative iOS game, Badland, just updated with a new Halloween theme, four new multiplayer characters, and a new level. In addition, the update drops the price to $0.99, giving us all a chance to discover the scary action for 75 percent off the regular price.

This is the first time the developer has dropped the price so far, so be sure to check it out if you have a buck to spare; it’s worth it.

Badland is an atmospheric, creepy side-scrolling action platformer that has you floating, flapping, and forcing a little hairy spherical character through a creepy forest full of obstacles, trees, flowers, and enemies.

The new update has you flapping through some cool new spooky forest, along with some creepy flapping friends and more of that atmospheric soundtrack. Here’s what it looks like:

Also for Halloweeen, you can join a competition on Badland’s Facebook page for a chance to win all sorts of prizes. All you need to do is take a picture of you and your friends playing Badland, using a creative environment or costume. The photo with the most Facebook likes by November 3rd will win a prize, as will photos of the best costume, the strangest place to play Badland, and a random sharer of the original Facebook post.

Developer Frogmind also promises to continue working on the next update, “The Night,” also coming soon.

The new update is free to current Badland owners, and the app itself is on sale in the App Store right now.
