Apple’s iWork for iCloud apps have been made unavailable ahead of today’s iPad event, pretty much confirming that we will see updates for Pages, Keynote, and Numbers during the keynote. “In just a few short hours, you’ll be able to create and edit documents, and enjoy great new features,” a notice reads.

You cannot view, edit, or create new iWork documents from within iCloud at the moment; visitors are simply be greeted by the message below, which confirms that the iWork productivity suit will be updated today — likely alongside Apple’s iLife apps.

We’ve been expecting these apps to be overhauled for iOS 7 since the software made its debut last month, and recent reports have suggested that we would see the new versions at today’s event. That looked even more likely when their new icons appeared earlier this week.

It’s unclear whether they’ll be available for the public right away, or whether we’ll have to wait — but this message certainly suggests we’ll see something today.
