You did not say that it works with the iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c. Why does it or does it not work with those devices? And what about the full-sized iPad?

“It may show a warning on iOS 7 and above since this product is not an official Apple product.”

This is very misleading. It is going to give the warning on iOS 7 not only because it is not an official Apple product (neither are Belkin or other third party manufacturers), but mostly because the manufacturer is not part of the Made for iPhone/iPod/iPad program (as Belkin and other third party manufacturers are) and using a reverse engineered (read: bootleg) cable design.

iPhone 5s and 5c have built in detectors to not work with unauthorized cables for safety (the reason Apple had the USB adapter trade in program) and presumably to protect their trademarks, products, and brand.

The fact that Cult of Mac and TUAW both keep hocking this crap and harming the company that provides their sole business model is rather baffling.

    Edited for clarification.
