Today OtterBox unveiled its new Preserver series of cases for the iPhone 5, 5c, and 5s. The waterproof design is fully submergible up to 6.6 feet, and Touch ID is supported for the iPhone 5s.

“About 70 percent of the Earth’s surface is covered in water, and technology is almost as pervasive,” said OtterBox CEO Brian Thomas. “We take our smartphones with us everywhere, and OtterBox is dedicated to making these activities as worry-free as possible. The Preserver Series is dependable, seriously waterproof protection that you can trust.”

OtterBox claims that the Preserver will also protect the iPhone from a 6.6-foot drop. The two plastic pieces of the case snap together, and the rubberized frame helps absorb shock along with the screen protector.

Lifeproof was acquired by OtterBox earlier this year, and the Preserver looks like it was influenced by Lifeproof’s slimmer design language. This could very well be the first case to come from the ‘Otterproof’ acquisition.

The Preserver case costs $89.95 and is available in four colors: Carbon, Primrose, Pistachio, and Glacier. The iPhone 5 version is available for shipping now, and you can sign up to be notified when the 5c and 5s versions are available for order at the link below.
