The Netflix app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch has been updated to bring high-definition video streaming to devices running iOS 7. The release also adds support for AirPlay, and some improvements and optimizations that make the app more stable under Apple’s latest software.

Netflix first brought HD streaming to mobile on the Google Nexus 7 earlier this year, and now you can enjoy it on iOS, too, with the new Netflix 5.0 update. What’s more, you can take advantage of AirPlay streaming to send your favorite HD movies and TV shows to your television.

You’ll need to disable AirPlay mirroring to do this, Netflix says, which means you don’t have to leave the Netflix app open while you’re streaming anymore; you can do other things on your iOS device while you enjoy Netflix on your TV.

This update also includes “playback optimizations” and “stability improvements,” which should make the Netflix app more reliable on devices running iOS 7. You can download Netflix 5.0 from the App Store now by following the source link below.
