Dots is a ridiculously fun, simple game that has taken iPhone and iPad owners by storm (and reduced my fingertips down to bleeding little nubs). In fact, the game has been downloaded more than 5 million times and played almost a billion times in less than four months.

Wouldn’t you like to get that on Android and Kindle Fire? Sure you would. Good news! It’s coming to Google Play today. And a new game mode is coming to all devices, including iPhones.

If you’ve never played the game, here’s how it works. When you load up Dots, you’re presented with a grid of colored dots, and you have 60 seconds to score as many points as you can from it. Trace between two dots of the same color and they get zapped. Make a square? All the dots of that color disappear from the grid.

It’s pretty addictive, and now Dots is also getting an extra mode, called “Moves,” that has no time limit. We should see some pretty sick scores there.

Dots developer Betaworks says the game should be available later today on Google Play. Keep your eye out.
