Social networks have trained us to share all the superfluous details of ourselves, but a new app called Leftover Swap is trying to take things to the next level by allowing users to share leftover scraps of meals with one another.

Hungry, but too cheap to buy a $0.99 hot dog down the street? With LeftoverSwap you can just pull up a map of discarded meals in your area, make a selection, and then go pick it up from your neighbor.

Will you get sick from it? Probably. But hey, waste not, want not, right? Rather than eating a huge meal on your own, you can just snap a picture of it, post it to LeftoverSwap, and watch as the nearby hobos compete for your half eaten burger.

The apps creator says the LeftoverSwap was created to help reduce waste and the number of people picking through dumpsters, plus it’ll help users finally meet their neighbors. What could go wrong besides a complete stranger lacing your food with laxatives and/or stomach eating viruses?

The app doesn’t launch until August 30th, but if you’re super eager to get a case of cholera from your neighbor’s leftover burrito, you can hurry over to the LeftoverSwap website to sign up now.
